Question by Coffee: What are yellow filters for on binoculars?
I inherited some binoculars from my grandad. They came with some yellow glass filters that fit on to the end of the binoculars. As they don't fit inside the binoculars' carry case, I am assuming that he bought them separately.
So what are these yellow filters for? How do they help?

They are supposed to make the images sharper in low light conditions.
